Strategic Volunteer Engagement for 2024 – Your VisionWeek FAQs

If you’re planning for strategic volunteer engagement in 2024, now’s the time to get your plan out of your head and down in writing.

If you’ve been struggling to get a concrete plan in place, we’ve got good news. Strategic volunteer engagement planning does not need to be difficult or mysterious. It also doesn’t need to be hard.

On November 13, 2023, VisionWeek 2024 starts here at VolunteerPro! And you are invited to join us!

Strategic Volunteer Engagement – Planning Makes All the Difference!

With busy schedules, it’s easy to be lulled into a false sense of security that planning for volunteer mobilization can put off to another day, that you simply don’t have time to plan, or that you can get by without it.

This could not be further from the truth.

Volunteer engagement requires the collaborative work of multiple stakeholders – employees, volunteers, community partners, leadership, and volunteer services. Without a cohesive, well-communicated plan of action, it’s nearly impossible to keep everyone rowing in the same direction.

The result? Poor volunteer recruitment and retention performance and a dwindling supply of enthusiastic and committed volunteers.

Without a sufficient supply of volunteer talent, organizations are forced to spend more time and effort on recruiting new volunteers and much less time on building and maintaining relationships with existing volunteers.

It’s a revolving door that you can put an end to with simple, but solid planning.

When you have a clear and inspired plan of action, you can generate better buy-in and support and mobilize your team around it.

Without a clear plan, you risk miscommunication, chaos, and unmet goals. Moreover, if you’re not clear on what you plan to do when, along with wiggle room, you are ill-prepared to set boundaries on your time and risk overcommitment and burnout.

Help everyone in your organization understand just what goes into successful strategic volunteer engagement and what they can do to support you.

A list of goals and to-dos doesn’t capture the complexity and potential of volunteer involvement. It simply won’t do in today’s world.

So, make sure you create a written plan that truly reflects the power and potential of volunteers and how they will be mobilized to impact your nonprofit’s bottom line.

You’ll reap rewards for your efforts in the shape of inspired followers and a cohesive team. You’ll also breathe a sigh of relief that you have a discrete list of doable goals for the year you can plan for with calm focus, rather than a never-ending list of tasks that seem to get you nowhere.

If you’re ready to get from here to there in less time and with lots more fun, join us for VisionWeek. You will not regret it. Plus, you’ll leave with new-found planning skills you can use every year when the planning season rolls around. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
