When we hear “peek behind the curtain,” it reminds us of the ominous Oz from Wizard of Oz. Today, in the fashion of the movie, we are giving a behind-the-scenes peek into VolunteerPro membership.

Meet Tobi, VolunteerPro founder: Tobi Johnson, MA, CVA is an international speaker and expert in the field of volunteerism. With over 30 years of direct experience, she has helped hundreds of nonprofits strengthen their volunteer strategy and results.

Tobi wrote Chapter 1 of the book Volunteer Engagement 2.0, is co-host of the Time + Talent Podcast with Jennifer Bennett of VolunteerMatch, and is host of the Volunteer Nation Podcast. Each year, her firm conducts the Volunteer Management Progress Report, a state-of-the-industry survey of our field. 

Meet Chelsey, VolunteePro Community Manager: Chelsey Banaskavich, MA has more than a decade of experience leading volunteer programs of various sizes and scope. She is passionate about the field of volunteerism and building up leaders of volunteers. 

Meet Jamie, Virtual Assistant for VolunteerPro and Tobi Johnson and Associates: Jamie is the first point of contact when you reach out to VolunteerPro. She discovered her love of volunteerism after a career in marketing and advertising and has more than 5 years of experience in managing a volunteer workforce.

Our team looks forward each day to making connections with our members and working alongside them to run their top-notch volunteer programs.

Webinars, Tools, and Templates, Oh My!

Monthly, our members enjoy live content and tools that take the guesswork out of leading volunteers. Our team shares well-researched, practical resources that you can implement into your program today.  

Monthly, our members have the opportunity to: 

  • Attend seminars that focus on a theme outlined in the Volunteer Strategy Success Path and help our members stay up to date on what is happening in the field. Seminars are a chance for our members to be immersed in the topic, receive supplemental materials, and have the ability to ask questions live to our team. 
  • Bring what you learned at the seminar and participate in workshop. Collaborate with your peers on how to integrate your learning into your program and get the answers you need to move forward. 
  • When our members are stuck, have questions, or want to give or get support, they join one-to-many coaching calls. The coaching call offers our members a way to put their specific challenges under a magnifying glass with their peers and the VolunteerPro team. Who doesn’t enjoy one-on-one coaching for their program so they can receive practical solutions? 
  • And we always add a few surprises along the way… 

We do not work in silos here. Our VolunteerPro members have input into the training and resources that are provided monthly. By being in community with our members, we are able to develop our training content based on our members’ needs; customizing content and tools to serve as total time-savers. 

Beyond the live events, VolunteerPro members have a database of content at their fingertips through our pre-recorded webinars in our video vault.
