Now Open: 2023 Volunteer Management Progress Report Survey

Global State-of-the-Industry Survey for Volunteer-Driven Nonprofits

Knoxville, TN, November 1, 2022: The eighth annual Volunteer Management Progress Report Survey is now open through November 22, 2022. This survey, conducted by VolunteerPro, is the largest crowdsourcing of data for volunteer administration in the world and seeks to give leaders of volunteers the tools to self-advocate and advance the profession as a whole.

“Over the last two years, volunteer-driven organizations have learned to pivot, modify, and innovate new ways to engage volunteers with their cause. Now we are all getting back to business, but in a more strategic way,” said Tobi Johnson, Founder and CEO of VolunteerPro. “This year’s survey results will give organizations some valuable benchmarks for the current state of the industry, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer this support and advocacy work for our sector.”

Johnson believes the volunteer management field needs this survey. Although researchers have conducted similar studies, none have attempted to understand trends over time through evolving data – this will be the eighth year of data collection. In addition, volunteer resource managers benefit from hearing their colleagues’ perspectives, and nonprofit organizations need clear benchmarks to help them make informed decisions.

The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is open through November 22, 2022. All participants will get exclusive access to an early-results, sneak-peak webinar on January 10, 2023. Last year, over 1,400 nonprofit and public sector staff participated in the survey from 28 countries.
