New Nonprofit Podcast Focused on Community Engagement

Knoxville, TN, Apr. 26, 2022:To wrap up April’s Global Volunteer Month, Tobi Johnson & Associates announces the launch of its new podcast, Volunteer Nation, focused on helping strengthen the world’s capacity to engage communities in solving our biggest problems through connection and purpose.

There are an estimated 862 million volunteers worldwide, nearly 15 percent of the world population of people aged 15 and up, both in formal and informal settings. With more than 1.8 million active nonprofits in the United States alone, volunteer-involving organizations exist in every corner of the world engage them in service to help meet their missions.

Through a combination of solo shows and interviews with guest experts, the podcast is geared at helping a wide array of charities, causes, campaigns, communities, and companies leverage volunteer talent to build a better world.

Volunteer Nation follows on the heels of the company’s first show, the Time + Talent Podcast, which features interviews with leaders of volunteers and scholars of volunteerism and has enjoyed over 13,023 downloads to date.

Volunteer Nation host, Tobi Johnson has over 25 years of experience working in a variety of nonprofit and public sector organizations and roles from volunteer to executive leadership. She will share her expertise in nonprofit leadership on the show.
