One note — When choosing from a bunch of bells and whistles to create survey questions specifically, go with the most simple. The more complexity you add, the harder it may be for the respondents…and the more that can go wrong. I have to learn this lesson over and over again!

By the same token, question branching is a more sophisticated functionality of survey software, and it actually makes it easier for respondents because they don’t have to slog through questions that don’t relate to them. So, always, think — how can I make this as simple and direct as possible?
